SCPAB to present award-winning scientist Bill Nye at the Bob
The Student Centers Programming Advisory Board (SCPAB) at the University of Delaware will present award-winning scientist, author and television personality Bill Nye at 8 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The event will be held as a moderated discussion. Students will have the opportunity to submit questions to Nye and have them answered at the event.
Doors will open at 7 p.m.
All seats will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27, on Ticketmaster and at the Trabant University Center box office.
Tickets for students will be $15. On March 13, tickets will be made available to the public at $25. The student discount price will be eliminated and all tickets will be $25.
Nye is a world-renowned scientist, engineer, comedian, author and inventor. Many college students grew up watching the Emmy award-winning show, Bill Nye The Science Guy. Nye is the CEO of the Planetary Society, the “world’s largest space interest group.”
Nye also has a highly anticipated new Netflix series coming out this April, Bill Nye Saves the World. The talk show will examine the various connections science has to pop culture, politics and society as a whole.
