The Little Bob will be open:

• Monday-Thursday, 5 a.m.-11 p.m;

• Friday, 5 a.m.-9 p.m.; and

• Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Hours for lap swim, fitness classes, rock wall, Independence gym and Harrington gym schedules can be viewed at this website. Members are also encouraged to register for the Recreation email list to receive updates on changes to hours and upcoming programs and events.

Group fitness

The spring group fitness schedule and unlimited class pass registration are available online. The schedule features 40-plus weekly classes in various formats, including mind-body, strength, cardio, HIIT, and dance.

In addition to the spring/summer unlimited pass option, an unlimited class pass for just summer session classes will also be available this year. To view the schedule and register, visit this page.

Personal training

Personal training sessions are also available for those who prefer one-on-one instruction. All trainers are nationally certified and will create an effective workout plan tailored to meet their client’s goals.

Sessions are scheduled at a time convenient to the client and can take place in the privacy of the personal training studio or the main fitness area. Fitness assessments and body fat testing are also available.

Lift Like a Girl program

This six-week program aims to encourage more women to use the strength room by providing expert instruction on how to perform various full body exercises using barbells and dumbbells safely and effectively.

The class meets from 4-5 p.m. in the Little Bob every Wednesday from Feb. 15-March 22. There will also be a Sunday morning VIP session in the Little Bob strength room before it opens to general users. Those interested can register here.

Those interested in taking their weight training to the next level are encouraged to register for the second part of the program, Lift Like a Girl Part Two. This program covers front squats, deadlifts, power cleans and more Olympic lifts using dumbbells. The class will meet from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesdays from April 5-May 10. Those interested can register here.

Intramural sports leagues

Teams are getting ready for another fun, action-packed semester of intramural sports. Participants can play in leagues such as basketball, broomball, sand volleyball, softball and, new this year, real-life Mario Cart.

All intramural sports leagues are open to UD students, staff/faculty, and alumni with a Little Bob membership. Each sport offers men’s, women’s and coed divisions with multiple levels of competitiveness to accommodate participants of all skill levels.

Winning teams receive the new intramural champion T-shirts. To view the sports schedule and register, visit this page.

Participants in search of a team or additional players can join the UD intramural free agent Facebook group to connect with others.
