Registration is now available for the University of Delaware’s Youth Cheer Day, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, during the Blue Hens’ home football game against Stony Brook.

Available for children ages 12 and under, the event will allow participants to learn about the importance of education and fitness while meeting and interacting with the Blue Hen cheerleading teams.

Participants will learn a short routine to be performed on-field at halftime of the game later that day for all to see in Delaware Stadium. All skill levels are welcome, and no prior cheerleading experience is necessary.

Registration costs just $15, and also includes a free event sweatshirt as well as a game ticket. Family and friends may purchase additional tickets at a special discounted rate of just $11 each.

Clinic check-in will take place from 9:30-10 a.m. on Oct. 22, with the pre-game clinic occurring from 10-11 a.m. The Blue Hens and Seawolves will kick off at 1 p.m., and the on-field performance will occur at halftime. This event is rain or shine.

Additionally, UD spirit items will be available for purchase during the clinic. Cash or checks made payable to the University of Delaware will be accepted.
