UD TO HOST STUDENT CONFERENCE
June 16, 2016
NACURH, largest student-run conference in the nation, comes to UD
The University of Delaware will host top student leaders around the world as they “unmask their Super Leader powers” at the annual National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) Conference to be held June 24-27.
NACURH is the largest student-run organization in the world and the leadership conference will serve approximately 2,200 student-delegates from around the world.
Delegations come from all across the United States and Canada, as well as the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.
NACURH’s mission is to be the leading national organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for personal growth and development as leaders.
The NACURH conference provides attendees the option to attend a variety of programs presented by student leaders to learn about initiatives and skills that other universities have mastered and would like to share.
Rachel Zolotarsky, a UD senior and the annual conference chair, describes the conference as a hidden undergraduate gem and a long weekend of high spirit.
“These conferences have the ability to change a person’s life by introducing them to new ideas, new people, and constant self-development,” Zolotarsky said. “I knew I wanted to be involved on UD’s campus and I wanted to grow as a person – NACURH helped me get there by opening my eyes to what being a leader truly means.”
