UD junior outfielder Jordan Glover named second team All-ECAC

University of Delaware junior outfielder Jordan Glover has been named second team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) in baseball.

Glover, a first-year performer for UD after transferring from Cumberland County (New Jersey) College and sitting out 2015 with an injury, led the Blue Hens in six offensive categories as he batted .361, collected 72 hits, banged out 20 doubles, knocked in 52 runs, collected 111 total bases, and was good on 22 of 25 stolen base attempts.

He also scored 49 runs, had a .555 slugging percentage, hit five home runs, and committed just two errors in 112 chances in leftfield (.982).

Glover tied for fourth in the Colonial Athletic Association in doubles, ranked fourth in runs batted in, tied for fifth in stolen bases, tied for sixth in on base percentage, and was seventh in slugging percentage. He also led the team with 23 multiple-hit games (with a team-best five against Stetson) and 13 multiple-RBI games (four on three occasions).

Glover’s 52 runs batted in is the most by a UD player since Jimmy Yezzo had 64 in 2013, while his 22 stolen bases are the most by a Blue Hen since Brandon Menchaca had 28 in 2006. His .366 batting average in league games ranked third among all CAA players.
