University of Delaware Facilities has announced road closures at Academy Street and Park Place from July 13-15 for storm water construction in conjunction with the new South Academy Street residence hall.

The work originally was scheduled July 6-9 but was postponed.

Academy Street will be closed between Park Place and Kells Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday, July 13-14. Local motorists will be able to access their homes.

A nighttime closure is planned from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, July 14-15, with Park Place closed between South College Avenue and Manuel Street and with Academy Street closed between Courtney Street and Kells Avenue. UD Parking Lot 31 will be closed during this time. Again, local motorists will have access to their homes.

The nighttime closure has a rain date of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Friday and Saturday, July 15-16.
