The Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, in recognition of positive reviews from guests over the past year.

Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.

The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recentness of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

The Courtyard Newark at the University of Delaware is owned by the University and managed by Shaner Hotels. In addition to being a fully operational Marriott Courtyard Hotel, the hotel is also home to the UD Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management’s Hotel Management Lodging Module Practicum. In this unique program, 50 students each semester are immersed in the hotel operation to gain firsthand experience.
