Career-oriented UD certificate overview scheduled in Wilmington

A free information session for fall 2016 professional development certificates offered by the University of Delaware’s Division of Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) will be held from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 21, at Arsht Hall on UD’s Wilmington Campus, 2700 Pennsylvania Ave.

A highlight of the open house will be the opportunity for extensive networking with faculty and graduates of the certificate programs to ask questions and learn more about the programs.

Certificates to be featured at the information session include:

·       Advanced Telehealth Coordinator

·       Analytics: Optimizing Big Data

·       Business Analysis

·       Clinical Trials Management Online

·       Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

·       Management Essentials for Engineers and Scientists

·       Paralegal and Advanced Paralegal

·       Project Management

·       Senior Fitness Specialist

·       Social Media Marketing Strategy

The information session is an ideal place for potential students to find out if a certificate would meet their needs.

Also, attendees can enter a raffle to win 50 percent off the cost of a certificate program, and anyone who registers and pays in full for a certificate program at or before the information session will receive a 10 percent discount. Refreshments will be served at the information session.

Certificate program classes are scheduled to suit working professionals, with most programs meeting at UD’s Arsht Hall, 2700 Pennsylvania Ave., Wilmington, or at the Professional and Continuing Studies Resource Center, 850 Library Avenue, Newark. Some classes include virtual online class meetings to supplement the classroom sessions. Time required to complete these programs ranges from three months to just under a year.
