Five University of Delaware online graduate degree programs are ranked among the best in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in its 2025 U.S. News Best Online Programs, with two programs in the top 20.  

UD’s online master’s of business administration (MBA) ranked No. 20 out of 355, with the master’s in education ranked No. 20 out of 313. 

In only the second year of UD being ranked among the online master’s in computer information technology programs, UD rose to No. 41, jumping from No. 50. 

“These latest rankings recognize the hard work and success of our faculty and staff in building excellent programs for our students,” said President Dennis Assanis. “Through our outstanding educational programs, UD continues to provide rewarding opportunities for those seeking to advance their careers through higher education, as well as meeting the evolving needs of our society.”

U.S. News selects several factors, known as ranking indicators, to assess each program in the categories outlined above. A program's score for each ranking indicator is calculated using data that the program reported to U.S. News in a statistical survey and from data collected in a separate peer assessment survey. 

In its 13th year, the U.S. News Best Online Programs is designed for individuals looking to complete or further their education. This year's edition evaluates more than 1,600 online bachelor's and master's degree programs using metrics specific to online learning. The rankings include only degree-granting programs offered primarily online by regionally accredited institutions.
