Faculty promotions announced

Trustees approve 80 faculty promotions

The University of Delaware Board of Trustees approved the promotions of 80 faculty members and awarded emeritus status to 22 professors at its semiannual meeting on May 16.

Promoted to the rank of professor were 25 associate professors who had already been granted tenure:

  • Anjana Bhat, physical therapy
  • Thomas Buckley, kinesiology and applied physiology
  • Julio Carrion, political science and international relations
  • Michelle Cirillo, mathematical sciences
  • Jonathan Cohen, School of Marine Science and Policy
  • Rebecca Davis, history
  • Kyle Emich, business administration
  • Elizabeth Farley-Ripple, School of Education
  • Philip Gable, psychological and brain sciences
  • Elias Goldstein, School of Music
  • Tanya Gressley, animal and food sciences
  • Deb Jaisi, plant and soil sciences

Awarded tenure at the rank of associate professor were Guillaume Combet, School of Music, and Dawn Fallik, English.

Thirty assistant professors were promoted to the rank of associate professor. with tenure:
