What's Our Process?

When you submit our project request form, you start the process of collaborating with the Student Life Communications and Marketing team to complete your project. Unsure where to start? Request Project Discovery and our team will meet with you to discuss your needs, gather additional details and determine a timeline and projected costs.

Rhythm of Business Calendar

To help with project planning and requests, find SL Comms events and deadlines on the calendar below.

Student Life Apparel and Promotional Items

I need apparel or promotional items to promote:

Select your official department name in the Student Life Storefront. Our vendors will use the correct OCM-approved stacked or inline divisional lockup.

Need more spirit?
If you need more spirit, your department name may be placed under the Athletics (hen head) mark with OCM and Athletics approval. This variation would not include any Student Life monogram lockup and should only be used in partnership with Athletics and in Athletics facilities.

Visit the Student Life Storefront.

Need something more custom? Please place a Comms request.

Need to be more specific, but still high-level?
Consider using a portfolio or unit grouping (e.g., Student Experience or Student Wellbeing). This can create cost savings and allow for better resource sharing between departments.

What divisional level is this for?

  1. Portfolio or unit grouping - yes, preferred where feasible
  2. Primary department - yes, encouraged where feasible
  3. Event-specific - yes, recommended for series and signature events
  4. Suboffice - yes
  5. Suboffice event, program or service - no
We recommend you keep promo items at the primary department or suboffice level for clarity of purpose, cost savings and reuse.

Suboffice programs and services are encouraged for inclusion in primary department or suboffice marketing suites like calendars of events, program and services print pieces like brochures instead.

There are some exceptions for uniforms and event-specific needs at this level. This is determined on a case-by-base basis.

Reorders: Once you place your order through the Student Life Communications and Marketing team, it will be considered for inclusion in the storefront (where possible with the vendor) for simple and fast reorders when available.

Brand Guidelines

The most effective way we can realize our goals is to communicate through one voice and one cohesive institutional brand. By doing so we showcase activities and achievements happening throughout the University. UD’s Office of Communications & Marketing maintains style guidelines to help all those working at and with UD to be the best stewards of its image, reputation and story throughout the world. Be sure to check these links often, as changes are made frequently.
