Give to the College

Support the future of environmental science

Alumni, friends, families and students of the College of Earth, Ocean and Environment work together to chart the future of marine and environmental science teaching, research and outreach. Gifts from individuals, businesses and foundations enable us to provide current and future Blue Hens with a world-class education, laboratory experiences in state-of-the-art facilities, and travel opportunities to work on cutting-edge research across the region and beyond. Join us as we work together to discover our world.

Student on a field experience in western U.S.

Department of Earth Sciences

Support hands-on labs in Newark, local field trips throughout Delaware, and field experiences around the world.

Beyond general departmental support, gifts to the Doc Thompson Fund help undergraduate geology majors travel throughout the western United States for field methods coursework. Gifts to this fund make this essential training possible, providing partial support for expenses related to airfare, fuel, food, camping, expendables and equipment—expenses that many of our students would otherwise be unable to meet.
