Research
We are interested in measurement, modeling, and interpretation of mass transport and transformation in soil and other environmental systems as well as colloidal processes at various interfaces. Our current research areas include: (1) fate and transport of colloids (including microorganisms and nanoparticles) in porous media; (2) the role of colloids in biogeochemical cycling of organic carbon, phosphorus, and other elements; (3) coupled physical (e.g., prefernetial flow) and biogeochemistry processes of soil organic carbon; (4) coupled physical, chemical, and biological processes in the rhizosphere; and (5) colloidal (microbial) processes at interfaces and food safety.
