Volunteer Shout-Outs - February 2024

Volunteer Shout-Outs - January 2025

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of UD.

Here, we regularly spotlight volunteers who enhance the UD experience for students and alumni.

January 2025 Spotlights:  Class of 2020 - 5th Reunion Ambassadors

Class of 2020 Reunion Ambassadors

We’re excited to introduce the Reunion Ambassadors for the Class of 2020, who are preparing to celebrate their 5th reunion during Alumni Weekend, June 6-7, 2025. This class holds a special place in UD history, as their senior year including graduation was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, they’ll finally have the opportunity to gather on campus and in person to mark this milestone together.

The reunion committee consists of six dedicated ambassadors: Troy Bloesc, BE20, Caleb Demree, EG20, Holly Ferrara, AS20, Nicole Lehner, BE20, Emily McCavera, AS20, and Willie Schaefer, BE20.

For most of the committee, this is their first time volunteering for UD, and we are excited about the energy and enthusiasm they bring to help make this celebration memorable.

A couple of fun facts from the group:

Bloesc was part of the UD Spirit Program, participating as YoUDee; and Lehner received the 2019 T. Muncy Keith Spirit Award.

Alumni Weekend 2025 will also mark major milestones for the Classes of 2000 (25th reunion), 2005 (20th reunion) and 2015 (10th reunion).

We look forward to welcoming Blue Hens from across generations back to campus for a weekend full of connection and celebration.
