Army ROTC Alumni Network: 2024-2025 News and Updates

The UD Army ROTC Network supports current students through activities such as mentoring, career development, guest speakers and philanthropy. It also provides a network for fellow UD Army ROTC alumni to connect. At the turn of the new year, the network reflects on its changes in 2024 and looks ahead to what’s to come in 2025.

This past June, three alumni completed their time as volunteer leaders: Christopher Warner, ANR87, William Lockhard, AS89, and Patricia Tuggle, HS87. These alumni helped set the foundation for the network’s future leaders—we are grateful for their time and efforts!

The alumni who stepped into these volunteer leadership roles are:

  • Micah Petersen, AS17, President
  • Patrick McCormick, AS15, Vice-President
  • Jack Farrington, ANR67, General Board Member

One of the first goals of the new leadership team was to establish a means to support cadets during their winter session endeavors. The Army ROTC Alumni Network created the Cadet Winter Session Award as a fundraising project for GivingTuesday. With the help of our generous donors, we raised $1,105 from 15 donors (and counting through Dec. 31), we will be able to support four cadets with their winter session coursework in January 2025.

In addition to new opportunities to give, the affinity has created a new in-person event for connecting with others in the network:

  • Army ROTC Trip to Army Museum
    February 8, 2025  | Noon-2 p.m. tour followed by lunch

Join fellow ROTC Alumni in D.C. for a trip to the Army Museum, including a tour provided by Jack Farrington, ANR67. After the tour, all attendees can join the group at the Dubliner Restaurant. Registration is free!
