Volunteer Spotlight

Volunteer Shout-Outs - December 2023

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations relies on a team of dedicated Blue Hen volunteers to strengthen the connections between alumni, students and the University through a variety of programs and events. Volunteers' many contributions include planning and helping to lead regional, affinity and reunion events, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities to students and serving as proud ambassadors of UD.

Here, we regularly spotlight volunteers that enhance the UD experience for students and alumni.

December 2023 Spotlight:  UDPride Alumni Network

UDPride Alumni Network

UDPride Alumni Network

Our alumni leaders pictured are Cedric Steenberghs (AS14) - Vice President; Kelsey Youells (AS18) - Networking Chair; and Elaina Hill (AS09) - President.

The UDPride Alumni Network works in partnership with the University of Delaware and its community to celebrate the spectrum of sexual orientation and gender identity and create a safe space for meaningful connections between alumni and students. We strive to show pride in our community through active participation and investment in programs that connect with and benefit the larger UD and LGBTQ+ community.

The UDPride Alumni Network was created this year and is excited to continue to develop into 2024, with our main event being the Drag Show at Alumni Weekend 2024 (May 31-June 2). Check out the network’s 2023 recap here (and please share!)
