Sharon Collison is a licensed Registered Dietitian and Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management and is an Instructor of Clinical Nutrition at the University of Delaware. Sharon completed her B.S. degree in Food Science and her M.S. degree in Human Nutrition with a focus in exercise physiology and sports nutrition. Sharon specializes in providing medical therapy for eating disorders/disordered eating, weight management, sports nutrition, healthy aging, and cardiovascular nutrition. Sharon provides medical nutrition therapy (MNT) in the Nutrition Clinic which is open to the public. She also has written several CEU articles for Today’s Dietitian as well as an ebook, entitled, Nutritional Strategies for Reducing Inflammation and Enhancing Immunity in the Athlete. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys hiking, strength training, cooking, developing recipes, and reading. She won the grand prize, $100,000, at the Southern Living Cookoff in 2005 for her chocolate coffee cheesecake with mocha sauce.
