Biography

Xi Tian (Ph.D., Pennsylvania State University) is a communication scientist specializing in interpersonal and health communication. Her research examines the processes of supportive communication that foster psychological and physical health following major life stressors, such as pregnancy loss and the death of a loved one. Her work has been published in communication and related journals, including Journal of CommunicationHealth CommunicationJournal of Social and Personal RelationshipsJournal of Language and Social Psychology, and Death Studies. ​​
