Biography

Chanda Gilmore is an instructor of the M.A. in Strategic Communication program and the undergraduate public relations concentration in the Department of Communication at the University of Delaware. She brings more than two decades of expertise in public relations and social media relations writing and campaign development and more than 15 years of higher education teaching experience in public relations and public speaking.

Gilmore also supports student professional development, having served as internship coordinator and mentor to nearly 500 undergraduate interns at over 60 nonprofit and corporate organizations in the tri-state during that time.

Throughout her career, Gilmore has been active in various associations dedicated to the advancement of the public relations profession including the National Communication Association and Public Relations Society of America. She received her B.A. in communication arts with a concentration in public relations from Hood College and a M.S. in public relations from Syracuse University.​
