  • African American Public Humanities Initiative

    The African American Public Humanities Initiative furthers the advance of the University of Delaware’s strengths in humanities graduate education through an interdisciplinary initiative in African American public humanities.

  • Bartol Research Institute

    The Bartol Research Institute is a scientific research institution at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Delaware.

  • Center for Drug and Health Studies

    The Center for Drug and Health Studies facilitates collaborative and engaging primary research on substance use disorders, behavioral health, health risk behaviors, and justice system policy and responses among social and behavioral science faculty, professional staff, undergraduate student interns, and graduate students.

  • Center for Global and Area Studies

    The Center for Global and Area Studies (CGAS) is both a hub for global learning and a support center for international research. CGAS promotes research that increases global awareness and fosters an academic community that is increasingly connected to the "global village."

  • Center for Health Communications

    The Center for Health Communications focuses on Advancing the science of health communication; Training a diverse set of health communication scholars; and Promoting the translation of research findings and engaging with communities to improve health and well-being.

  • Center for Material Culture Studies

    The Center for Material Culture Studies supports the advancement of material culture theory and practice at University of Delaware. The Center offer sprograms, funding, and opportunities for faculty, graduate, and undergraduate scholars who are passionate about material culture and come from a wide variety of disciplines.

  • Center for Political Communications

    The Center for Political Communications is a nonpartisan, interdisciplinary center connecting academics, students, and the community to relevant issues in political communication. Whether it is racial injustice, climate change, polarization, or the future of our democracy, this center provides context through courses, research, and programs. 

  • Center for Science Ethics and Public Policy

    The Center for Science Ethics and Public Policy supports the development courses that introduce or explore ethical, policy, legal, or social aspects of science, engineering, or technology.

  • Center for the Study and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence

    The Center for the Study and Prevention of Gender-Based Violence — housed in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Delaware — is dedicated to the study of, prevention of and support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking, human trafficking and other forms of gender-based violence.

  • Center for the Study of Diversity

    The Center for the Study of Diversity promotes academic research and scholarship that facilitate dialogues about and understanding of the social and academic impact of diversity. The Center brings a broadly interdisciplinary focus to its activities, projects, programs, and publications on research and analysis, training, public scholarship, community projects, and information dissemination.

  • Delaware Teachers Institute

    The Delaware Teachers Institute is an educational partnership between the University of Delaware and five New Castle County school districts. The Institute is designed to strengthen teaching and learning in the community’s high-need public schools through content-rich professional development seminars taught by UD faculty.

  • Institute for Transforming University Education

    ITUE is a resource for faculty at UD (and beyond) to help navigate the scholarship on teaching and learning, with a particular focus on Problem-based learning and related pedagogies.

  • Interdisciplinary Humanities Research Center

    ​The Interdisciplinary Humanities Research Center work to strengthen faculty research and creative activity, while also enhancing its integration into the curriculum; support initiatives involving multidisciplinary research teams, both within the university as well as with external partners; and foster intellectual community and public engagement.​

  • Legal Professional Preparatory Program

    The Legal Professional Preparatory Program is designed to support students at the University of Delaware who wish to pursue a career in law.

  • Master Players Concert Series

    ​Master Players Concert Series brings a rich and wide array of world-class musicians to the University of Delaware and to underserved local communities.

  • Master of Arts in Liberal Studies

    ​The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies is designed specifically for returning adult students who want to earn their degree through part-time study. Students shape their own MALS curriculum to pursue their passions and intellectual interests.

  • Medical and Dental Scholars

    Medical and Dental Scholars is an early admissions dual-track premedical eight-year academic program sponsored by the University of Delaware in consort with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.​

  • Military Science

    Army ROTC offers a commission as a second lieutenant in either the active Army or Reserve Forces in a variety of career fields. Some cadets choose to join the National Guard or the Army Reserve while in Army ROTC, thus qualifying them for the Montgomery GI Bill benefits, in-state tuition (VANG), and other benefits.

  • Museum Studies and Public Engagement Program

    The Museum Studies and Public Engagement Program is among the country’s first and best-known training grounds for students interested in museums, archives, and other agencies and organizations focused on sharing expertise with the broader public.

  • Paul R. Jones Initiative

    The Paul R. Jones Initiative fosters educational inquiry, interdisciplinary engagement, and critical thinking with and through African American art at the University of Delaware.

  • Plastino Scholars Program

    The Plastino Scholars Program helps outstanding University of Delaware undergraduate students by supporting them in self-designed, off-campus learning experiences that create a difference in their lives and in the lives of others.

  • University Writing Center

    The University Writing Center offers support for University of Delaware students working on any writing or communication projects.

  • Winterthur Program in American Material Culture

    The Winterthur Program provides an interdisciplinary study of diverse ideas, contexts, and theories—supported by hands-on study of objects, landscapes, buildings, decorative arts, and design, both within and outside the vast collections of the Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library.
