The University of Delaware will conduct a test of UD Alert, its emergency notification system, beginning at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 29.

The UD Alert test will include email and text messages and is designed to ensure that members of the University community can receive information during a campus crisis or emergency.

Individuals do not need to take any action once they become aware of the test.

All members of the University community should visit the UD Alert website to learn more about the emergency notification system. If you do not receive a text alert, the website also has a helpful FAQ section that provides information on how to update emergency contact information.

Everyone is encouraged to take a moment to ensure that they have registered for UD Alert, which is the primary means of notifying the campus community about an imminent threat or emergency situation.

Members of the University community are also advised to take advantage of the free LiveSafe App, which can be downloaded on smartphones. Learn more about the app and download it at the LiveSafe App website.
