Late Returning Student App

The 2026-2027 Late Returning Student application for students who missed the February deadline to apply is now available. Eligible students include current undergraduate students (i.e., rising sophomores, juniors) and 4+1 or 3+2 students who will return to the Newark campus next year as well as Flex Pathway students transitioning to the Newark campus in the fall. Housing is not automatically guaranteed, but we expect to be able to house many late applicants. We will review applications on a rolling basis and notify applicants via UD email if we can offer them a space.

2026 Summer Session Housing

The 2026 Summer Session housing application is now open in the My Housing Portal. Summer Session housing can be requested by current undergraduate students at the Newark campus who are either taking at least one in-person summer session course or are an international student returning to UD next fall who is unable to travel home for the summer. We recommend applying by Tuesday, May 19 for the best consideration as space is limited.

2026–2027 First-Year Student Housing

The housing application for newly admitted first-year students for Fall 2026 is open. The application can be found at the My Housing Portal and students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline on Friday, May 22 at 5 p.m. While the application will remain open after this date, students will not be able to indicate room type interests, request roommates or apply to an LLC.

Eligible students seeking a housing exemption to live off campus must complete a First-Year Exemption Request in the My Housing Portal by Friday, May 22, instead of a housing application.

2026–2027 Transfer Student Housing

The 2026–2027 on-campus housing application for Fall 2026 transfer students (not admitted as a freshman) is available now in the My Housing Portal. Incoming transfer students are not required to live on campus, but we encourage them to consider it as they plan to make their transition to UD. Transfer students who apply through Tuesday, June 30 are guaranteed on-campus housing for the upcoming year. Students applying after this date are not automatically guaranteed, but we will continue to review applications and email guarantee notifications on a rolling basis throughout the summer pending space availability.

2026–2027 Graduate Student Housing

The Graduate Student Housing application for the 2026–2027 academic year is now open. Students can apply in their My Housing Portal. The priority deadline is Tuesday, June 30.

Blue Hen Helpers for Fall 2026 Move-In

Blue Hen Helpers are volunteers who help new students and families move their belongings into their residence halls during New Student Move-In on Saturday, August 22. Students living on or off campus are eligible to volunteer, and we'd love to have UD faculty, staff and community members volunteer as well! Find more information on the Move-In page.
