LOA Policy
The request should be submitted during the registration period for the semester you will not be enrolled for University of Delaware classes.
You may take two consecutive semesters but you must apply for the leave of absence each semester separately.

Students graduating in winter or summer are placed on a leave for winter/summer if they are graduating in that term.
You would apply for readmission. Students who qualify for readmission are not guaranteed admission to the program in which they previously matriculated. Students may apply for readmission as early as six months before the beginning of the desired readmission term. The deadline to submit the readmission application is the day before the first day of the semester/term for which a student is applying
