Graduate Student Appreciation Week
Institutions Across the Country Want to Say: Thank You
In support and appreciation of the contributions, impact and value of graduate students, the University of Delaware Graduate College is joining other institutions around the country in the annual celebration of Graduate Student Appreciation Week, April 1-5. Throughout the week, UD’s Graduate College is honoring the dedication and achievements of its graduate students and invites them to attend the following events:
MONDAY, APRIL 1-FRIDAY, APRIL 5
Campus Seek and Find/Photo Scavenger Hunt
Newark Campus and Online
Make your way around campus and visit a series of designated locations. Read the rules, view the stops and submit your photos HERE. Graduate students can pick up a printed copy of the rules and stops at the Graduate Student Lounge (Perkins Student Center, Room 114) beginning April 1. There is also an opportunity for graduate students who do not regularly come to Newark, including online students, to participate from wherever they are.

Equity Coffee Hour
9-10 a.m. | Graduate Student Lounge (Perkins Student Center, Room 114)
Cosponsored by the Office of Institutional Equity and graduate student affinity groups, start your day with free coffee and a light breakfast while chatting with Michael Vaughan, vice provost for equity, and others.
TUESDAY, APRIL 2
Yoga
5:15-6:15 p.m. | Graduate Student Lounge (Perkins Student Center, Room 114)
Courtesy of Campus Recreation, all graduate students are invited to participate in a free yoga class.

Graduate Student Happy Hour
3-5 p.m. | Grain Exchange (STAR Campus)
Mingle and connect with fellow graduate students while enjoying the specials available for purchase on the Grain Exchange happy hour menu.
THURSDAY, APRIL 4
Student and Caretaker Conversation
12:30-2 p.m. | Center for Intercultural Engagement (Perkins Student Center, Room 261)
Converse with other graduate students who understand the demands you have as a caretaker/provider for family members and/or children who cannot take care of themselves. The Graduate College recognizes your pursuit of higher education to improve your livelihood while having dependents. Please bring your lunch; desserts and beverages will be provided.
FRIDAY, APRIL 5
Communications Training for UD Researchers
8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. | Audion (STAR Campus)
UD is launching a free research program for our faculty, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students aimed at helping our researchers — in any discipline — strengthen their ability to explain their work to broader audiences, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of UD research and its impact on our lives.
FRIDAY, APRIL 5
Graduate Student Field Day
Noon-3 p.m. | Frazer Field 3 (Next to the Carpenter Sports Building - Lil Bob)
Sponsored by Campus Recreation, engage in some friendly competition with fellow graduate students in activities such as soccer, tug of war, volleyball, eggshell relay race, dodgeball, cornhole and Kan Jam.
In the event of inclement weather or an unplayable field, the activities will take place inside the Lil Bob in Gym 1.
