How to download and install Notepad++   (Version 6.3)

1. Create a folder in a convenient location for you, for example, your Desktop.
2. In your browser, open the Notepad++ website at http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.3.html .
3. You will see several download options. Click on the one that says "Notepad ++  zip package"
4. When instructed, select "Save As". Save the zip file to the Notepad++ folder that you created earlier.
5. Navigate to the zip file you have downloaded. Right-click on the file, and select "Extract All" from the drop-down menu. A new file folder, "npp.6.2.bin", will appear in the Notepad++ folder. (You may now delete the zip file. It is no longer needed.)
6. Open the folder npp.6.2.bin. You will find a folder, "unicode". Open unicode.
7. Right-click on the file notepad++.exe. Select "copy" from the drop-down menu.
8. Navigate to your desktop, right-click, and select "paste shortcut". You may now open notepad++ by clicking on this shortcut.
