I remember both, and I vaguely remember them containing different
databases; one contained was used for selecting four year colleges, and the
other was used by JDG to help identify potential career paths.  It
definitely helped me narrow down my college choices - I probably would not
have applied to Northwestern or IIT without it (like that would have
mattered).  I also recall being amazed that the most competitive school
(based upon average SAT scores) was not in the Ivy League - it was some
little known school that accepted <100 students a year and had no tuition.
