Slide Rule "Data-Guide"

"Data-Guide" is a company in New York that created plastic laminated study guides for many, many subjects. They are still listed as a business (as of 2012) and in 2012 I received a return call from them. However, I was not home to receive the call, received no replies to subsequent calls, and they do not seem to be actively in business. In the 1950s and again in the 1970s they made study guides for the slide rule.

I scanned in one of their guides from 1956, then used Gimp to remove as many imperfections as possible while balancing that against inadvertantly removing real image data. I also removed the binder holes and replaced the background with pure white as opposed to the original sheet's scanned white. In the gimp file I also have the same shade of background green used in later years, which you see in the mini images below. If you'd like the gimp xcf files, drop me a line. I'm happy to share them, just trying to conserve space here.

Click each picture to retrieve the large cleaned up versions. They can be printed and hard-laminated to somewhat recreate the original.
