K3 Comms via Java Web Start

This page demonstrates how WebStart can be used by a user to run a program that communicates with gear on his serial port, in this case a K3. Try it on linux, MacOS, or Windows.

The program will communicate with your K3, so make sure it is attached to the serial port and powered up. It simply checks the firmware versions. To prove that it is in fact talking to your K3 (trust is earned, the saying goes!) the rig serial number is also retrieved and displayed.

NOTE: the program doesn't have much in the way of error checking or flexibility. This is only a demo put together in less than an hour.
