Dr. Mingxin Li is a Scientist in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware. Dr. Li received his B.S. in Rail Operations Management/Logistics from Beijing Jiaotong University in 1996, his M.S. in Civil Engineering with a M.S. Minor in Statistics from Oregon State University in 2007 and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Utah in 2011. His research interests include traffic engineering and management, analytical and simulation modeling of traffic systems operation, transportation planning, travel demand modeling, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), stochastic dynamic optimization, safety, and land use planning. His current research interests focus on smart transportation infrastructure engineering and management, energy and environmental policy, risk analysis, public health, sustainable transportation systems, big data and internet of things.
