Bio:
Dan has worked as an extension agent at UD Extension since 2014. In this role, he provides information and advice about agricultural issues and develops and implements programs to meet the needs of producers in animal agriculture, forage and grain crops. He also holds statewide responsibilities for small ruminants and dairy cattle and coordinates the Sustainable Agriculture and Research Education program at the University of Delaware.
Dan was born and raised on a dairy farm outside of Dover and graduated from the University of Delaware in 1994 with a bachelor's in Animal Science and in 2006 with a master's with a concentration in Science Education. He is currently raising meat goats, pigs and chickens on a small farm where he practices direct marketing. His areas of interest are small ruminants, dairy and small-farm education.
