In support and appreciation of the contributions, impact and value of graduate students, the University of Delaware Graduate College is joining other institutions around the country in the annual celebration of Graduate Student Appreciation Week, April 7-11. Throughout the week, UD’s Graduate College is honoring the dedication and achievements of its graduate students and invites them to participate in the following events:

Day in the Life of a Graduate Student Instagram Takeover
Graduate College Instagram
We are starting the festivities a week early by having some graduate students take over our Instagram account. Follow their stories as they each share a day in their life.
If you would like to share a day in your life on Instagram, submit this form by March 27, and we will be in touch with the details and guidelines.

Day in the Life of a Graduate Student Instagram Takeover - VOTE NOW
Graduate College Instagram
Takeover participants will submit their four best photos, which will be featured in an Instagram post. Our followers will vote for their favorite, and the student with the most votes will be announced at the UDairy with the Dean event on April 11. The winner will receive one free month of group fitness classes at UD.

In collaboration with the African Graduate Student Organization, African Heritage Caucus and Black Graduate Student Association

Join us for a panel discussion and Q&A session featuring diverse voices from faculty, student life and industry. Presenters will share success stories and discuss career navigation, overcoming challenges and job application strategies. Enjoy insightful conversation — and ice cream — in a welcoming space.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9
Spark! Symposium
4-7 p.m. | Tower at STAR Audion
With a theme of “Within and Beyond Our Senses: Art, Exploration and Sustainability,” six UD graduate students will give ignite new conversations, ideas and collaborations among diverse researchers and professionals through short-form, engaging presentations and audience participation. Spark! presenters break disciplinary boundaries and propel UD research into the public sphere.
