My Professional Journey as a nurse for 28 years began in an associate’s program in New Jersey. When I graduated, I started nursing in Delaware and continued my education through the University of Delaware for my BSN and then MSN, APRN and then my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Thomas Jefferson University. I have practiced in all age groups and every setting from med-surg to intensive care. Pediatrics was my preferred and chosen specialty as my degree advanced. Neurology was my chosen subspecialty, and I worked as an APRN for Pediatric Migraine patients for 16 years before returning to teaching full time. All along the way I have been driven to teach other nurses what it means to be a professional and an advocate. Our skill and confidence are what make us cherished. Our community needs us, and I am passionate about spreading confidence and competence to the next generation so you will find your path to fill those gaps in the communities you will live in and serve.
