Dr. Sions' research focuses on evaluation and management of chronic health conditions, including lower-limb amputation and low back pain. She is the Principal Investigator of the Delaware Limb Loss Studies laboratory and co-investigator of the Delaware Spine Studies laboratory. Dr. Sions is also the Director of the University's interdisciplinary Limb Loss Clinic and an instructor in the following courses within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program: Spine Management, Rehabilitation, Geriatrics, and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Imaging in Clinical Practice & Research.

Dr. Sions is the Principal Investigator of the Delaware Limb Loss Studies research laboratory and a co-investigator in the Delaware Spine Studies Laboratory. She is the Director of the University's interdisciplinary, outpatient Amputee Clinic and holds a secondary appointment as faculty in the Biomechanics and Movement Science interdisciplinary PhD program.  Dr. Sions teaches in the University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program in the areas of spine evaluation and treatment, lower-limb amputation, and imaging. Her research focuses on improving outcomes for adults with chronic health conditions, including lower-limb loss and chronic low back pain and incorporates the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging in evaluation and treatment.  For information related to current research projects, please see: https://sites.udel.edu/megsions/
