Biography

Terri Goode, who holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and East Carolina University, joined the English Language Institute at the University of Delaware in 2010. She mainly teaches English for Academic Purposes (EAP), First Year Writing, and International Teacher Assistant Training courses. She is the level coordinator and course designer for several advanced courses in the Intensive English Program (IEP) and various teacher training programs. She is also the advisor to ELI students who have been conditionally admitted into a UD graduate program, and she supervises MA-TESL students during their teaching practicum at the ELI.

Prior to joining the ELI, Terri taught English in Oman and Mexico. In her international teaching experience, she taught EAP foundation-year English and TOEFL preparation, as well as intermediate and advanced English language courses to teens and adults.
