Cheryl Ernst
Biography
Cheryl Ernst has been involved in international educations since high school, when she traveled to Germany with the Rotary Club and Japan with the Lions Club. Many international opportunities lead her to an MA-TESOL from Northern Arizona University and ultimately a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Reading and ESL emphasis) from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her professional areas of interest include program administration and international marketing, teacher training and working with international teaching assistants, curriculum design, and advanced level academic English (graduate levels). With 30+ years in the field, she is the director of the wonderful English Language Institute at the University of Delaware where she and her colleagues and students practice Soft Diplomacy every day.
