Micki Burdick
Biography
Micki Burdick (they/them) is an assistant professor of Women & Gender Studies at the University of Delaware. They received their PhD in Rhetoric and Gender Studies at the University of Iowa in 2023. Their research utilizes a reproductive justice framework to explore medical systems, reproductive technologies, and reproductive politics -with a specific focus on abortion. Dr. Burdick's current book project, Spectacular Surveillance, is an ethnographic exploration of women in the white, Evangelical anti-choice movement in the United States. They have published multiple chapters in edited volumes and co-authored with medical professionals in OBGYN-focused journals.
