Greetings! You are the future of the arts and as such we are genuinely eager to meet you! You’ve come to the right place, if I may say so! In this department, we believe we have a responsibility to contribute to you in such a way that you are prepared for a bright future in the arts and related fields. Each of us is an expert in what we do, whether that is creating a set, choreographing a dance, or coaching an actor, and we are ready to make your four years with us unforgettable.
From the beginning, humans have tried to make sense of the world around them and how they felt. Plants grew, skies thundered, babies were born. How did we make sense of the great mysteries of the world and the deep emotions caused by living inside of them? By dancing and acting and storytelling. Humanity has undoubtedly evolved and yet we still live inside these fundamental mysteries and endeavor to grapple with them through the arts. Welcome to the beginning of it all, the ancient and ever developing art of storytelling through movement, language, and performance.
