Biography
Shawna Vican, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Delaware. Her research focuses on organizations and occupations, and she is particularly interested in organizational practices that shape workplace inequality. She is the research director of UD Advance Institute, which supports faculty development and success. Vican is a commissioning editor for the Organizations, Occupations, and Work Section at Work in Progress: Sociology on the economy, work and inequality, a sociology blog of the American Sociological Association.
