Biography
Eric Rise, Ph.D., is an associate professor of criminal justice in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. He holds a joint appointment in legal studies. His research focuses on civil rights litigation, racial injustice, criminal justice, legal studies, and constitutional history. Rise has published numerous scholarly articles, book chapters, and three books. The award-winning educator and advisor received the Jan Burrows Memorial Graduate Educator Award in 2022.
