Biography

Cresean Hughes is an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware. Cresean received his Ph.D. in criminology from Florida State University. His research interests include race, ethnicity, punishment, and social control, with a particular focus on school discipline and other youth justice outcomes. His research has been published in the Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency. Cresean currently teaches Juvenile Delinquency and Introduction to Criminal Justice. He is a member of UD’s Race, Justice, and Policy Research Initiative.
