Airee Cha
Biography
Airee Cha is a classical pianist and instructor for classical piano at the University of Delaware Music Department. She has been an instructor since 2013, and also privately trains freshman honor students and piano minor students.
Her love and passion for music led her to pursue her second degree, the Bachelor of Music at the University of Delaware. There she met her teacher and mentor, Professor Christine Delbeau, and studied under her for her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Piano Performance.
She was a Student Concerto Competition winner in 2004 at the University of Delaware, and performed Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the UD Symphony Orchestra. Since then, she has been active in performing as a soloist and an accompanist, and collaborating with local artists for various recitals and fundraising concerts. For many years, Ms. Cha has also been collaborating Dr. Melanie Dement’s vocal studio at the UD Department of Music.
Ms. Cha is also the principal pianist at the Delaware Korean United Methodist Church in Hockessin, Delaware, where she has been a pianist for over 20 years.
