Band Camp and Performance Schedules
Band Camp occurs a little over a week before classes start on the University of Delaware (UD) campus each fall semester. During this time, the University of Delaware Marching Band (UDMB) engages in intensive preparation for the upcoming season, which includes performing at all home football games and potentially traveling to one select away game. Additionally, the UDMB season features parade performances, notably at the City of Newark Halloween Parade and an exhibition at the Collegiate Marching Band Festival in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This structured schedule not only fosters musical skills but also builds camaraderie among band members as they prepare for a vibrant season of performances.
It is critical that you arrive in good physical condition - be sure to utilize the UDMB Summer Conditioning Program you will receive upon acceptance to the UDMB!
BAND PRE-SEASON TRAINING CAMP: AUGUST 15 - 24
- All members of the UDMB arrive for Band Pre-Season Training Camp on the same day, at the same time (with the exception of Student AD & Field Staff members).
- Specific details will be emailed to all members once specifics are provided by the University.
- Band Pre-Season Training Camp is mandatory for all members - no exceptions! Once you arrive for band camp you stay for the duration.
- If you will not be residing on campus during the academic year you will need to commute--it is critical that you understand these are LONG days (8am - 11pm).

A Full PreSeason Itinerary will be emailed to all members once the University finalizes procedures regarding housing for those living in the dorms.
