Biography

​Mahtab Shafiei (PhD, University of New Mexico, 2024) joined the department in 2024. Her research focuses on the intersection of peace and conflict with human rights and international law. Dr. Shafiei also has research and teaching expertise in in International Relations, Peacekeeping, and Conflict Resolution, International Law, Terrorism, Politics of the Environment, International Business and Human Rights.
