Biography

Tao Li, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of physics and astronomy​ at the University of Delaware. He received his B.S. in chemistry at Nanjing University, China, where he also spent half a year in Sweden as an Erasmus exchange student. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania in 2021, where he focused on developing novel analytic and numerical approaches to study both weak and strong light-matter interactions. As a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Sharon Hammes-Schiffer at Yale University, Tao studied nuclear quantum effects via multicomponent electronic structure theory.
