Research Interests

Notions of size for different kinds of mathematical objects are ubiquitous. The volume or of a set in Euclidean space (the study of which is fundamental to the field of Convex Geometry) and the entropy of a probability distribution (the study of which is fundamental to Information Theory and Probability) are prominent examples of such notions. I am very interested in exploring these as well as more exotic notions of size, and how they interact with operations on the underlying mathematical objects. This research is important for multiple fields of mathematics including probability theory, geometric functional analysis, and additive combinatorics, and also finds numerous applications to theoretical computer science, communication engineering, and the foundations of data science.
