English Minors
English Minors
The English Department offers a range of minors to suit a variety of interests, all designed to be flexible in fitting in with the rigorous requirements of other majors. Most of our minors are interdisciplinary, encouraging students to engage in coursework across curricula. All advising-related questions should be directed to english@udel.edu.
English minor: Working with their minor advisor, students plan an individualized course of study tailored to their personal and professional plans. The English minor requires students to take six ENGL courses (a maximum of two ENGL 200-level courses and four ENGL 300- or ENGL 400-level courses).
Environmental Humanities minor: The interdisciplinary Environmental Humanities minor gives students the chance to think more rigorously and imaginatively about environmental issues. For questions about this minor, please contact Professor McKay Jenkins, 114 Memorial Hall.
Interactive Media minor: The Interactive Media minor allows students to gain knowledge and skills applicable to various forms of interactive/digital media. Focusing on internet-based technologies, the required courses teach skills in web programming, interaction design, writing and project management. For questions about this minor, please contact David Kim, 027 Memorial Hall.
Writing minor: The Writing minor helps students develop the ability to read and write effectively, to analyze, to see through deceptive rhetoric, to interpret documents, and to create by focusing on critical literacy in a range of creative and professional modes. This minor is meant for students not majoring in English.
