Biography

John F. Jebb (B.A. University of Virginia, M.A. Villanova University, and Ph.D. University of Delaware) teaches courses in composition and business writing, along with American Literature and Detective Fiction. He has developed writing courses in Sports in American Literature and Southern Crimes. He is the author of True Crime: Virginia - The State's Most Notorious Criminal Cases (Stackpole Books, 2011) and co-author (with J. K. Van Dover) of Isn't Justice Always Unfair The Detective in Southern Literature (Bowling Green, 1997). His recent articles include studies of crisis communication on the Internet and of Edgar A. Poe's story "The Gold-Bug." He is also a graduate of the New Castle County (Delaware) Citizens Police Academy. A Delaware native, he has attended every NCAA men's lacrosse Final Four (but one) since 1992.
