Biography
Jen Follett received her B.A. and M.A. in English/Creative Writing from Florida State University, and her Ph.D. in Composition Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has been in writing center administration since 1999, having held positions at Loyola University of Maryland, Temple University, and York College of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on the dynamics of writing center tutoring sessions. Specifically, her dissertation and recent work examine how student writers' and peer tutors' emotions toward and perceptions of writing assignments, faculty, and their own academic histories affect their interactions in the writing center.
