Research Overview
My group will advance the synthesis and characterization of functional inorganic materials. We will develop new classes of materials and use a suite of physicochemical and analytical techniques to gain in-depth mechanistic understanding of reaction pathways in complex materials systems, including nanomaterials, renewable energy, (photo)catalysis, and environmental remediation. Planned interdisciplinary collaborations will enhance the scope of our studies and applications.
Members of the group develop skills/expertise in range of areas including materials chemistry, solid state chemistry, electrochemistry, (photo)catalysis, physicochemical and analytical materials characterization techniques, catalysis, among others.
