Undergraduate Internships

By virtue of UD's proximity to major cities, with their world-class collections of art and architecture, Art History students have many opportunities to gain career experience by way of internships at museums and other art-related institutions. Organizations across the nation offer internships for undergraduates. To learn about such positions, students can subscribe to MuseWeekly, a weekly e-news service provided by UD's Museum Studies Program, which contains job and internship postings, among other museum news.

Once an internship position has been secured, Art History students may obtain up to three credits for their work by registering for the course ARTH464: Internship in Art History, under the supervision of the Director of Undergraduate Studies. In the past, our students have benefited from the internship programs offered by a number of institutions in the mid-Atlantic region.
